On 4 April 1972, I was assigned to 7th PO Group AUG OKI APO SF 96331. This assignment was to change very soon after I arrived on Okinawa.
On 17 April 1972, 1LT Carl L. Boerger, 16th PSYOP Co. SP4 Michael G. Ellenberger, 7th PSYOP GP, (Cook, 94B20); and myself PFC Roger A. Henson 16th PSYOP Co. (Fixed Station Radio Operator, 32A10), received Letter Orders Number T-66, Subject: Temporary Duty. These orders sent us TDY to: 3rd PSYOP DET APO 96232. (Which I later found out to be the actual location of the 16th PSYOP Co. APO SF 96248 on the Thailand/Cambodia Border.)
On 22 August 1972, Letter Orders Number T-231, Changed my TDY orders to read: TDY for 360 days. Also, on 22 Aug. 1972, I received promotion orders to SP4. SP4 Michael S. Fletcher (32A10) was also on these orders.
On 25 April 1973, Letter Orders Number T-126, Changed my TDY orders to read: 450 days.
On 21 June 1973, Letter Orders Number T-177, TDY orders to 3rd PSYOP DET APO 96232 for 180 days.
On 30 Sept. 1973, I departed 16th PSYOP Co. APO SF 96248 (actual location)Returning to Okinawa for out processing on a PCS move.
I had 5 more overseas assignments after I departed the unit for a total of 17 years in the Army before I was forced out on medical discharge in 1988.
The only Pictures and personnel information I have is while the company was located in Thailand (1972-1973 time frame).
The 1973 Roster picture includes a pet dog. Unfortunately it was found that the dog had rabies and 6 Americana's (me included) had to take the 21 rabies shots plus 3 booster shots in the stomach.
